A place where all of God’s children are welcome to gather to celebrate their faith.
Reserve Worship is a multi-denominational gathering. We use this term instead of non-denominational because we are proud to have people gather here from a variety of faith traditions. We don’t want people to give up their faith traditions when they become a part of these services. Rather, we want them to bring those traditions with them. We respect and embrace them. It is our intention to make the diversity of our faith histories a source of enrichment rather than division.
We are called to make disciples by embracing ALL PEOPLE with God’s love in Christ and equipping each other for service to God and His world.

Recipe for Life – Let Nature be your Teacher – Lessons from the Garden
I was an avid vegetable gardener for many years before I moved to a mountain/lake community that is heavily wooded. After numerous attempts to continue my gardening as I had done before, I came to realize how futile it is to plant vegetables where there is not enough sun. Such is nature’s way.
This year I have a garden again! My son bought some property near my lake house that has great open areas with plenty of sun, the perfect place to plant a garden, and plant I did! Much to my surprise I discovered that the hiatus from gardening made me appreciate having one even more! I had an abundance of vegetables all summer long. As you can imagine, I was sad to see my summer vegetables die back when the growing season neared its end. But die back they did. Such is nature’s way.
I pulled up the tomato, okra, and other plants that had almost run their course and decided to plant a fall garden.( I knew if I wanted to plant a fall garden, these plants had to go in order to make room for the new). I planted carrot, beet, and radish seeds. As I covered the seeds with soil, I looked at my seemingly empty garden beds thinking wistfully of the all wonderful vegetables that had recently been there. How I wished I didn’t have to wait for these plants to grow. Of course that is not possible. I have to be patient. Such is nature’s way.
Several weeks have passed. It is exciting to watch the seeds I planted sprout and grow. Having a root vegetable garden is interesting because their fruit is growing underneath the earth. All I can see are their green tops. I can’t “see” any vegetables yet! I just have to trust that they are there and that they are indeed carrots, beets and radishes. But I am sure that I will reap what I sowed. Such is natures way.
My gardening experience is a beautiful metaphor for an abundant and fruitful life. In our lives, good seeds need to be planted, tended, weeded, watered and nourished properly. We need to live in an environment full of (God’s) light that enables us to grow and thrive. We need to realize that when seasons change so must we change, whether that means pruning back or cleaning out the old to make way for the new. We must be willing to release what we have in order to experience and enjoy what is waiting for us, even if that looks barren for a while. We must always keep in mind that we will reap what we sow, so we should choose and plant our seeds carefully, take care of them, and then trust that the good seeds that are planted today will be ripe, abundant fruit tomorrow.
Galatians 5:22 The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness
